about

A ragbag of propulsive electronica, "ethnological forgeries" (as Can used to call them), and instrumental confections featuring stylistic borrowings from various places, with a couple of genuflections being all too obvious: to Jon Hassell on "Storm," and to Terje Rypdal on "Rip Tide." The entirety is bookended by opening and closing pieces reflective of the genre I'm most interested in developing, which I'm tentatively calling "EDM," or "Ecstatic De-oligarchization Music."

This was originally released last year as a longer album, but it's been rerranged and subdivided. See "Fall of the Oligarchs 2" for more.

Recorded at various times in the late 2000s and early 2010s, with a few final touches made more recently.

Dedicated to the fall of oligarchs everywhere.
